Perhaps coming into the busiest racing month in the club calendar this weekend seen two main events being taken on. Houghton 10 TT and Keith Carter Memorial RR.
Provisional results from the TT are:
Connor Prior (13) 28.26 coming 2nd in Juvenile Age cat.
David Nearney 22.27 finishing 5th overall
Craig Deacon 25.34
Theres some great results here. This season has seen TT’s taking a hold amongst members; solid performances added today on top of previous weeks performances. Breezy course today, northerly wind keeping the boys fresh.
If you want to get involved go onto the CTT site, register for free, look at the events and get entered. TT’s provide competition for all levels, ages and abilities.
Keith Carter Memorial RR hosted by Hull Thursday Road Club. 6 Laps of the Newbald Circuit East Riding of Yorkshire, approx 50 miles.
Dan O’Callaghan and Graeme Wardale departed early doors to sign on for 9 and get on the line for 10. Start “apparently” Neutralised till top of the major climb which was just under 2 mile, 5% av kicking up to 11%. Pace was on from the off, second time up climb race was splintered. 5 off the front, main group then I’d say 3 small groups forming throughout the second lap. Dan O touched rubber on 2nd lap and took a dive, Graeme riding strong and staying with the main group for the remainder, holding good position with those who looked on average 15/20 years younger. Graeme come in a provisional 12th, which is his second strong finish on a hilly course since his come back to racing after a 20 year lay off.
