The weeks sport begun with an impressive club turnout at the Cestria TT, with first time entrants Kev Bradley and Ged Nearney joining, Dave Nearney, who took the fastest time of the evening,  Matty Sutcliffe, Barry Hollyoak who PB’s & Alan Card.

Saturday was the Ballantyne Memorial RR, which takes place on a 7 mile circuit in the Morpeth area. Set off by the local vicar a fast race followed. The club was presented by David Nearney, Graeme Wardale, Matty Sutcliffe and Dan O’Callaghan. After a few unsuccessful attempts to break up the race due to speed of the course the plan was to try and get fresh legs into position. All riders finished in the bunch after a heated 2 mile run into the finish.

Allen Valley CC hosted 25 mile Mountain TT, which takes in a route with 2600ft of climbing in the North Pennines Velo’s Dave Nearney taking 7th overall, which after a day of racing is impressive.

Northumberland seen the action Sunday morning with North East 25 TT Champs and the Reifen Road Race:

James George Dunn: 1:04:12
Grant Bezuidenhout: 1:09:49
David Nearney: 55:22, taking 9th overall.

Graeme Kirton, Graeme Wardale both finished in the bunch after trying to stretch it out on the quarry climb at the Reifen RR, which was ran on the Scots Gap Course and Dan O, with a DNF.
